- Sample construction
- Record supplier sample reference, declared ply, product format, dimensions and packaging state. Identify whether the proposed sample represents the quoted version. Keep declared construction separate from observations; handling a separated layer does not by itself verify the original manufacturing structure.
- Intended task
- Describe the relevant retrieval, unfolding, wiping or other buyer use and its boundaries. Record dry or otherwise defined conditions without inventing a laboratory conditioning method. Compare the same task across candidates rather than changing the motion or contact surface for only one sample.
- Operator and handling
- Record operator, trial location, handling sequence and any deliberately changed variable. Avoid peeling layers apart as an undeclared part of an ordinary-use comparison. If a deliberate separation demonstration is useful, label it separately so it is not mistaken for what happened during normal handling.
- Separation event
- Record the stage at which separation appeared, affected area and whether layers remained usable together. Distinguish pre-existing separation, separation during retrieval and separation during the service task. Use factual descriptions and sample-linked images where appropriate rather than an unsupported numerical bond score.
- Other failures and unknowns
- Record tearing, dispensing problems or wet-condition changes as separate observations. Preserve the sample and note missing construction information. A trial without a confirmed product reference cannot establish which supplier version should be corrected or whether the same event appears in other units.
