- SKU and packaging level
- Record buyer SKU, product specification version, retail pack, bundle and export-carton references. Keep separate artwork entries for each packaging level. Similar filenames do not prove the pack count or dimensions are the same; link each entry to the intended physical pack.
- Exact deliverable files
- List editable source, review PDF, dieline reference, linked graphics, permitted font resources and any print-provider instructions. Adobe explains that Illustrator packaging can collect the document, necessary fonts, linked graphics and a report. Check the actual transferred contents and licensing permission rather than assuming a complete folder guarantees usable files.
- Revision and decision
- Record version identifier, issue date, change summary, reviewer, approved scope and conditional items. Identify the review PDF associated with the editable source. A signed screenshot with no file reference is difficult to reconcile when the designer later updates the source document.
- Quantity and identity copy
- Check sheet or roll count, pack count, product name, language panels and the barcode reference against the approved specification. Keep declared quantities connected to the correct packaging level. Ask the responsible identifier owner to review relevant changes under GS1 rules; this page does not allocate a GTIN.
