Retail kitchen roll

Specify sheet width, perforation length, sheets per roll, roll diameter, ply and rolls per pack. If a shorter-sheet or select-size direction is requested, give the actual perforation requirement rather than relying on a marketing name.

Task and sample check

Define a repeatable task for the trial: the surface, liquid, amount applied, handling steps and result to record. Compare usable sheets consumed and tearing during the task. Keep dry feel, absorbency and wet strength as separate observations.

Kitchen roll versus centre-feed

A household kitchen roll is not automatically a centre-feed or commercial wiping refill. A centre-feed enquiry needs the dispenser model, feed route, core arrangement and specified roll dimensions, plus confirmation that a suitable product can be quoted.

Food-use documentation

State whether the paper will only wipe surfaces or is intended for a specified contact with food. Request the applicable product documentation for the destination and intended use before making a food-contact claim.

Cost per completed task

Keep the carton price and pieces per carton separate from sample consumption. Compare on the same task and include unusable sheets; a low price per roll is insufficient if dimensions or usable yield differ.

Define all-purpose

All-purpose is a broad use description, not proof that one roll suits food preparation, industrial oil, glass or sensitive surfaces. State the soil or liquid, surface, cleaning agent, handling and disposal route before considering a candidate.

Keep industrial requirements separate

If low lint, solvent compatibility, strength when wet or another task requirement matters, request a matched product and supporting evaluation. Do not substitute a retail kitchen towel into an industrial task merely because both are rolls.

Evaluate embossing

Embossing creates a patterned surface. Compare the proposed sample against an alternative at recorded sheet dimensions and construction, noting feel, apparent bulk, tearing and task consumption. Do not describe an embossed option as more absorbent without a relevant comparison.

Approval scope

Record which tasks the sample trial covers and which remain untested. Availability of an embossed or specialist wiping format needs a dated quote and sample; this guidance does not add a new stocked product.

1. Define the target

Separate required and preferred fields: material, ply, GSM per ply, unfolded dimensions, sheets or roll length, dispensing system, pack count and destination. A competitor reference describes your target, not an approved VELUPLY SKU.

2. Confirm the sample route

Ask about an existing reference sample or a custom development sample. Availability, sample quantity, charges, artwork or tooling, courier cost and timing are confirmed in writing for the proposed configuration. Do not send samples to the company filing address.

3. Agree the evidence

List the required certificate or test, destination, intended use and acceptance criteria. Confirm the relevant holder, manufacturing site, product scope, validity and permitted label use. Competitor certificates do not establish certification for our product.

4. Approve the production brief

Record the specification version, approved sample, packaging artwork, units per carton, carton dimensions, gross weight, quantity, delivery basis and inspection criteria. Unconfirmed values remain open until quotation and sample review.

For example, a hotel buying facial tissue can compare sheet size and dispensing fit first, then approve a sample and carton specification. This describes a planning workflow, not a completed customer project or a product test result.
